Small Business Administration's Colorado District Office makes fewer loans
The Small Business Administration's Colorado District Office approved fewer loans in its fiscal year ended Sept. 30.
The office approved 2,256 loans worth $556 million vs. 2,808 loans valued at $545 million in its fiscal 2007 year.
Most of the loans were made through the agency's 7(a) general business Loan Guaranty Program, while a smaller number were made through its 504 program, which provides loans for land, building and equipment. Microloans worth $1.3 million were made in 73 cases. US Bank was the top SBA lender in Colorado with 449 loans, valued at $44 million, approved.
